NSA denies report: Obama was unaware of Merkel's phone tapping

The US's National Security Agency denied the report by the German newspaper Bild according to which the US President Barack Obama was informed already in 2010 that it was tapping German Chancellor Angela Merkel's phone.
The agency's director never discussed the alleged tapping with President Obama, the statement said. (AFP)
