US: Obama orders stop to eavesdropping on world leaders

The US National Security Agency has stopped eavesdropping on German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several other world leaders after The White House was updated on the eavesdropping program over the summer. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, which cited US sources.    

This is in essence the first admission by officials in the US government that America listened in on world leaders. (Ynet)
