Ban: Syria disarming according to schedule
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that Syria is working with the timetable set for the destruction of chemical weapons in the country. This is despite reports that chemical weapons inspectors were unable to enter two sites where such weapons stored because of the security situation.
Ban stressed that weapons production facilities at all sites will be destroyed. OPCW announced that inspectors have looked at 21 sites of the 23 chemical weapons declared by Syria. (AFP)
