Prisoner who escaped 13 years ago caught in Nablus
Mahmoud Sharaf, who was sentenced to life in prison in 1991 for murder and robbery, was caught in Nablus 13 years after he did not return to prison from a furlough. Two other inmates who left with Sharaf were apprehended over the years.
Sharaf, who started a family following his escape, was caught by a joint team of IDF soldiers and Israel Prison Service officers and transferred to Hadarim Prison. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
