PLO official: Israel's position in negotiations worst since Oslo

Yasser Abed Rabbo, a member of the PLO Executive Committee and a mediator in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, said that Israel's position is the worst it has been in the last 20 years since the Oslo talks.

Abed Rabbo said that there was no real progress in talks between the two sides, which renewed in July. "Israel wants the Palestinian state's borders to be determined by its security needs which never end, and this could undermine the chances of a sovereign Palestinian state." (AFP)
