Ramat Hasharon mayor's trial begins
The trial of Ramat Hasharon Mayor Itzik Rochberger began with the reading of the indictment filed against him with the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court. Rochberger announce he would take a temporary leave of absence. "In any case I am scheduled to assume my duties next month. No disaster will happen if I go on vacation for a month or two," he said.
The mayor was charged with fraud, breach of trust and falsifying corporate documents. "I have no doubt that eventually I will be mayor of Ramat Hasharon." (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
