Police: We identified ties between crime syndicates, regime

Commander Meni Yitzhaki, the head of Israel Police's Investigations and Intelligence Unit, told the Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee that police have identified the beginning of attempts to establish connections between crime syndicates and the government.

He said that in these cases police acted swiftly "because we understood the essence of the threat." (Omri Efraim)
