Civil Administration discusses building 582 new settlement units
The subcommittee for settlements within the Israeli Civil Administration is currently discussing the possibility of building an additional 582 housing units in the settlements. The committee is considering building 160 units in the settlements of Yakir Shomron, 296 in Beit El and 96 in the settlement of Almog near the Dead Sea.
In response, Peace Now said in a statment "the promotion of such plans is proof that the prime minister… (and) government are not really interested in reaching a peace agreement." (Itamar Fleishman)
