Lapid: Security establishment's fat can be trimmed

In a Holocaust survivors conference held in Tel Aviv, Finance Minister Yair Lapid responded to claims that he is damaging the IDF and said: "It's obviously false; we're responsible people and we recognize the needs and the threats. There's security and there's also financial security. The security establishment has enough fat that can be trimmed."

Minister Lapid also referred to the plight of the Holocaust survivors, and promised he will produce a bill to provide added aid for the first circle of survivors to the sum of NIS 60 million. (Gilad Morag)
