IDF force was under fire while operating near Gaza border fence
An IDF force that was operating on both sides of the Gaza Strip border fence in a continued effort to uncover a tunnel that was found in the area a month ago apparently came under mortar shell fire from the Gaza Strip. The forces operated within Israeli territory.
The forces fired back at the source, and the Palestinians are reporting that one terrorist was killed and another was injured from a shell fired at them. The terrorists belong to the military wing of Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. (Elior Levy)
