Syria rebels deny attacking regime base in Latakia
An officer in the Free Syrian Army, Ammar Al-Wawi, told Turkey’s Anatolia news agency that the organization had nothing to do with the explosion at a military base in the area of Jableh in the Latakia province.
He said, "According to the information I have, the explosion was caused by a missile launched from the Mediterranean Sea...No faction within the opposition has claimed responsibility for the incident." He added that the organization is not responsible for the attack and that it occurred in a mountainous region far outside the range of its missiles. (Roi Kais)
