Student testing results show rise in scores, large sociological gaps

The Education Ministry released the Meitzav standardized testing results for 2012-13, in which 113,854 students from 1,131 primary schools and junior highs participated.

According to the data, students' scores marked a rise compared to the previous year in technology, science, math, Arab and English, but were lower in Hebrew. However, the results show that students' socio-economic status is still a factor, as large gaps in scores were correlated with students' economic background. (Shahar Chai)
