Major General Yaakov Amidror, the retiring National Security Council chair, said at the farewell ceremony held in his honor, "Israel faces one clear existential threat and we must do everything possible to remove it. If possible, using negotiations. And if negotiations are not possible, then some other way."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the event, "The main thing is the question of how to ensure the most challenged and most threatened state in the world not only survives, but continues to defend itself, fortify its strength, prosper and secure its future." (Atilla Shmolfavi)
