US Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged in a German newspaper Thursday "tensions" had arisen between the US and Germany over revelations of US espionage but said relations would remain strong.
"Without question this situation has led to tensions in our relationship with Germany and the Germans, who are so cordial to us Americans and to me personally," Kerry told daily newspaper Bild. "But our relationship is strong and it will also remain strong," he said in the interview published in German, adding, "I love Germany." (AFP)
