Report: US makes interim offer to Iran

The British Telegraph newspaper reported the US offered Iran an ease of sanctions in return for a six-month freeze of its nuclear program, in the course of which Tehran would be able to enrich uranium only up to 3.5%, while its higher grade uranium stockpiles will be turned into harmless oxide.
According to the American offer, Iran will also commit to not producing plutonium out of fuel rods made in its Arak facility, The purpose of the offer is to allow the sides some breathing space in the negotiations, ahead of a final agreement. (Ynet)
