Council votes to allow construction of gas refining facilities

The National Council for Planning and Building approved plans for the construction of natural gas refining facilities on land. The plan passed with 13 supporters and six opposition votes.
Approximately 1,000 people, including Hefer Valley residents, protested in front of the council's offices in Jerusalem. The protestors claim the plan endangers residents of the area. (Lior Gutman, Calcalist)
