Russian-Israeli will be extradited to Bulgaria for murder

The Jerusalem District Court has decided to extradite Yaakov Polonski to Bulgaria after he fled that country following a conviction for murder. He will be extradited following the request of the international department of the State Prosecutor's office.
A Russian citizen, Polonski murdered his Russian business partner in 1999, in the city of Burgas. In 2005, he was convicted and sentenced to 14 years in prison, and in 2006, fled to Israel, where he registered as a new immigrant and was given citizenship. (Aviel Magnezi)
