White House: Iran turned down proposal at Geneva

The White House released a statement saying that Iran turned down the proposal of the six powers at the Geneva talks. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said that the six powers were united in their presentation of the proposal, and the Iranians turned it down. He noted that while important progress was made, gaps remained on certain issues.

Carney also said that whether or not Iran was serious was something that would need to be evaluated.  (Yitzhak Benhorin)
