None
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that no progress was achieved in the talks between Israel and the Palestinians. In an interview to an Egyptian television channel Abbas defined the negotiations as "purely talk".
Mahmoud Abbas noted that operational options are being examined for the possibility of the negotiations failing at the end of the allotted nine months, and that one of them is turning to the UN Security Council. He expressed his support of the destroying of smuggling tunnels in Rafah, which he defined as "illegal". (Elior Levy)
