MK suspended from Knesset for 2 weeks

MK Meir Porush (United Torah Judaism) was suspended from the Knesset for two weeks following a July incident in which he handcuffed himself to the speaker's lectern on the Knesset plenum stage during discussions on the IDF draft.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein filed a complaint against Porush for the incident with the Knesset's ethics committee. The committee ruled that Porush's actions harmed the honor of the Knesset and suspended him from discussions for two weeks. (Moran Azulay)
