A lawmaker says police fired rubber bullets on protesters who gathered at a roadblock near a copper mine in northwestern Myanamar, injuring seven.
Nine police were hurt in the scuffle. Khin San Hlaing, a lawmaker from pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi's party, said the incident occurred in the Monywa division of Sagain region late Thursday. (AP)
