Suspicion: 2 Beersheba residents stole from cancer patients

The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended the remand of 2 Beersheba residents who are suspected of stealing wallets and bags from children with cancer and their families who were staying in area hotels.

The two, Gil Sasportas, 42, and Shlomi Lahat, 27, were caught on security cameras as they entered the hotels. Sasportas has already been charged with similar crimes in the past in Kfar Saba. Both men denied the charges when questioned. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
