A 436-room luxury hotel is expected to open in mid 2017 on a deserted beach between the central cities of Bat Yam and Rishon Lezion.
The entrepreneurs are a group of investors which includes Ilan Sasson of the Rom Kineret Group; Michael Sepiashvili, a diamond dealer living in Israel
and the United States; David Refaelov, who deals with diamonds and mineral mining in Russia; and Valery Markotenko, a former owner of the Gazprom company who engages in mineral mining.
Some NIS 500 million (about $142 million) will be invested in Sea Hotel, which entrepreneurs and Bat Yam Municipality officials hope will boost tourism to the city.

According to Sasson, the entrepreneurs bought the land (about 2.7 acres) for some $20 million. "It will be the fourth biggest hotel in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area," he said.
The deluxe level hotel will offer 40% of its rooms as vacation apartments for foreign and Israeli residents, who will be able to use them six months a year.
The project was planned by the Feigin Architects office, which is also responsible for two nearby hotels that will serve together as a complex of 1,200 hotel rooms.
