80,000 NIS fine for illegally pumping water from Kinneret

A resident of Kfar Tabor was fined NIS 80,000 for pumping water from the Kinneret without permits for a period of four years. The sentence was handed down by the Nazereth Magistrate's Court. According to court record, the man pumped the water for agricultural use.

The judge added that the fine was not in place of payment for the illegally pumped water, but in addition to payment for it. (Ahiya Raved)
