The mother, 34 year-old Ghada Hammad of the Gaza Strip, considers this birth to be a sign from God, since she had been unable to give birth for 11 years.

"Thank God, I'm really very happy," she said. "Thank God, this is the most joyous feeling for a person, a person who was denied giving birth for many years. I was unable to give birth for 11 years.

"I had a daughter before this delivery. She is three years old. I can't describe how happy I was then. I'm even happier now with this delivery. Thank God, he compensated us for waiting all these years."

The hospital says four of the babies are able to breathe on their own, while the other two are receiving respiratory assistance.
