Lapid to Office Depot workers: State limited in assistance can offer
None
Finance Minister Yair Lapid said at the Sderot Conference for Society that although "unemployment is low in Israel compared to the rest of the world, this doesn't help the 800 workers of Office Depot or people at 'Brill Shoes.' The state is limited in its ability to get involved."
Lapid added, "What the state can do, and what it will do, is to take care of the economy so that it will go from the traditional infrastructures, which are firing people, to the modernized infrastructures." (Matan Tzuri)
