A Russian court has granted bail to a Greenpeace protester from Brazil, the first foreign activist eligible to be released from jail while awaiting trial for participating in a demonstration outside a Russian oil rig.
The court in St. Petersburg on Tuesday set bail at 2 million rubles ($61,500) for Ana Paula. Greenpeace said it would transfer the money as soon as possible. (AP)
