Petition: Delay appointment of new state prosecutor

The movement for governance and democracy petitioned the High Court of Justice to order Justice Minister Tzipi Livni to not present the appointment of Shai Nitzan to State Prosecutor for government approval until there is a decision whether to appeal the acquittal of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
The petitioners claim that the ministers might be moved to vote for or against based on the notion that Nitzan could influence the prosecutor's decision about Lieberman. (Aviel Magnezi)
