Iran nuclear talks in crucial third day

None

Iran and world powers haggled Friday over a breakthrough nuclear accord on the third day of talks in Geneva, with Tehran complaining of "no progress" but others more upbeat. This third and crucial meeting since President Hassan Rouhani was elected in June is seen as the biggest hope in years to resolve the decade-old standoff over Iran's nuclear program.

Failure might mean Iran resuming the expansion of its atomic activities, Washington and others adding to already painful sanctions, and possible Israeli military action. (AFP)
