Report: France plotted to kill cleric in London, blame neo-Nazis

According to a report by anti-extremist NGO coordinator Nick Lowles, French intelligence service, Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure (DGSE), planned to assassinate Abu Hamza al-Masri with a rifle and lay the blame on far-right neo-Nazi British group, Combat 18, the Daily Mail reported.
The DSGE was allegedly concerned Algerian terrorists might attempt an attack on the 1998 World Cup and were frustrated with the lack of action by their British counterparts. (Ynet)
