Israel participation in EU science program at crossroads

Difficulties have broken out in the Horizon 2020 deal between Israel and the EU. Two days ago the EU decided to defer the Israeli counteroffer, which includes the clause that research done in the prestigious science program will only be done within the 1967 lines.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deliberated with Science and Technology Minister Ya'akov Peri, Deputy Foreign Minister Ze'ev Elkin and other representatives Monday afternoon. An additional debate on the matter is expected take place Moday evening, which may decide how Israel will act. (Attila Somfalvi)
