MK Rosenthal: Herzog appointment of Cabel - unlawful

During a Labor Party Faction meeting, Knesset Member Mickey Rosenthal turned to the new chairman, MK Isaac Herzog, and criticized his decision to appoint MK Eitan Cabel as interim faction chairman.
Rosenthal told Herzog he was not allowed to appoint him without a vote. He then turned to Cabel and said: "Only yesterday you appealed against the phenomenon of an appointment like this." Herzog responded that he intended to discuss with all of the faction members. According to party rules, the vote for faction chairman needs to be secret. (Moran Azulay)
