5.8 quake hits Peruvian capital

A moderately strong earthquake has shaken Lima but no damage or injuries have been reported.

 

The 5.8-magnitude quake was struck about 3:07 local time (20:07 GMT) and was centered about 20 miles south of the Peruvian capital at a depth of 40 miles. That's according to Peru's National Geophysics Institute. (AP)
