The Knesset plenum authorized, after second and third reading, MK Aliza Lavi's (Yesh Atid) bill which set conditions for the grant given women after they leave a battered women's shelter. The bill determines that the grant will be given to the women on the day they are released, instead of 60 days later.
MK Lavi explained: "When the grant is received only after two months, they don't have the ability to pay for themselves on the evening of their release from the shelter." (Omri Efraim)
