The military court in the Kirya compound ruled that the lieutenant-colonel in the Central Command, who was convicted in the past few days of indecent acts towards three female soldiers in his command, witness tampering and indecent behavior, will not be sent to prison.
The court sentenced the former Commander-in-Chief Exceptional Officer, who was convicted with six offenses, to four months of community service and 1,000 NIS each for the soldiers who filed the complaint. In order not to affect the officer economically, the court only decided to lower his rank to major, so that he will still benefit from full military pension and benefits, subject to the Manpower Directorate's approval.
