Hezbollah announces assassination of senior officer near Beirut

Hezbollah said Wednesday that one of its leaders was assassinated near Beirut, directly accusing Israel.

"The Islamic resistance announces the death of one of its leaders, the martyr Hassan Hawlo al-Lakiss, who was assassinated next to his house in the Hadath region," east of Beirut, the Al Manar television network reported. (AFP)
