Committee passes new infiltrator prevention bill proposal

The Internal Affairs and Environment Committee, led by MK Miri Regev, approved the second and third reading of a bill proposal to prevent refugees from infiltrating into Israel. The bill was written due to the High Court decision that ruled out the possibility to detain infiltrators for up to three years.

According to the proposal, it will be possible to hold infiltrators for up to a year. A detention center will also be established, where the refugees will sleep and receive food and be provided with medical services. (Noam Dabul Dvir)
