A source within Hezbollah told the French news agency AFP that Hassan al-Laqqis, a senior Hezbollah operative who was killed overnight, was "a personal friend and one of the closest people to Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah."
The Lebanese newspaper Daily Star claims that according its sources, al-Laqqis was a key figure in the equipment of Hezbollah with drones, and was in charge of smuggling weapons to the Gaza Strip. (Ynet)
