Kerry: I'm very optimistic about Israeli-Palestinian peace deal

Israelis and Palestinians haven't been this close to peace in years, US Secretary of State John Kerry said Friday, who is on a renewed peace-talks mission in the Middle East.
"I think that we are very close to peace, prosperity and security that everyone in this region deserves and that we haven't had in years," Kerry told journalists accompanying him prior to flying back to Washington from Israel. (AFP)
