Soldier arrested for disturbing peace released on bail
The Petah Tikva Magistrates Court ruled that a soldier, 20, in custody, be released on bale, leveling harsh criticism at the police for his arrest.
The judge noted that the defendant may have been impolite, but committed no crime besides being present when police were trying to question suspects in a Netanya street for disturbing the peace. The judge stressed that the police's use of a taser gun was excessive. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
