A senior official at the State Comptroller's Office was dismissed after claiming that the comptroller had a conflict of interest with a contractor hired to build new structure for the office.
The official was fired from his position as head of the project coordinating the building a new office for the Comptroller and his staff after he reported a conflict of interest between State Comptroller Judge Joseph Shapira and of the directors of one of the companies who won a tender for the construction project.
