Report: Assad to remove terrorists in return for staying in power
The Bashar Assad regime offered to remove al-Qaida and other Jihad Islamic groups in Syria, in return for Assad staying in power. The report came from the opposition's replacement prime minister, Ahmed Taama, in an interview with Asharq Alawsat.
A senior opposition member said Washington refused the offer. (Roi Kais)
