Putin closes news agency, radio for 'financial reasons'
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the closing of the national news agency RIA Novosti. In its place a new agency will be created, Rossia Segodnya (Russia Today).
Putin also closed radio station Voice of Russia. The closings are, according to the Kremlin, due to financial reasons. (AFP)
