The High Court of Justice rejected the contempt of court request submitted by human rights organizations against the State. The organiztions claimed the government was not implementing the court ruling which voided the amendment to the Infiltrator Prevention Bill.
Three of the justices expressed displeasure in the rate of release of asylum seekers and "infiltrators" jailed in Saharonim facility, as per the court ruling. The Knesset is expected to approve a new, replacement amendment to the bill. (Omri Efarim and Aviel Magnezi)
