The former Ashkenazic chief rabbi, Rabbi Yona Metzger, has been released from house arrest Tuesday, as the police 433 Lahav unit didn't request to extend it.
Metzger was in house arrest for 15 days with restrictive conditions. He has been accused of taking bribes, fraud, and a breach of trust. The investigation is ongoing. (Gilad Morag)
