Girl says was drugged, raped on dance floor
Girl raped as club goers document disturbing incident. Ashkelon police launch investigation after receiving widely-circulated video. Victim's friend outraged by behavior of witnesses who filmed scene
According to the complainant, she went to the club on Saturday with friends. At the club she was given a drink, and does not remember anything from that moment on.

The next morning, one of her friends told her she was raped and that people in the club have documented her sexual encounter using mobile phones.
In footage obtained by police, the complainant is seen having sex with a young man on the floor, as they are both partially naked. Club goers are heard in the background, urging the two to stop.
Security personnel arrived several minutes later and ordered the two to get dressed and leave the establishment.
In recent days the video was circulated from phone to phone. Rumors arose regarding the girl's state of mind and the possibility that she was under the influence of a date-rape drug.
Ashkelon police received the video on Monday and announced that it started an initial investigation to determine whether or not an offense was committed, and if the drugs were used consensually.
'It's hard on her'
The police, who are investigating the possibility that a date-rape drug was introduced into the girl's drink, intend to investigate the management of the club on the evening of the incident and to locate the suspects using security cameras and club goers' testimony.
"It's hard on her mainly because the whole country saw it," said a friend of the complainant. "Everyone who was at the club filmed the incident, and that's the worst part. She's outraged by that."
She added, "In one of the videos you can hear in the background girls laughing and one of them is holding a phone and documenting. What is that? What kind of people are they? I'm shocked by their conduct. For God's sake, these are girls, it could've happened to one of them."
"She's not a girl who drinks a lot. Quite the opposite, she's shy and introverted. She's a wonderful and responsible girl, who was an officer in the army. It's unlike her to do that. She was raped," emphasized the friend.
