President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday Russia was not trying to be a superpower or to "teach anyone how to live," a veiled criticism of the United States.
"We do not aspire to be called some kind of a superpower, which is ... understood as an ambition for global and regional hegemony," Putin said in a state-of-the-nation address. (Reuters)
