Minister: Most stranded passengers rescued

Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said: "All rescue agents are partners in this endeavor. The intent is simply to save lives. Most of the passengers in the stranded vehicles have been evacuated, only the people who asked to be left are still there."
He added, "I ordered their evacuation. Right now there is no mortal danger. We'll examine the thoroughfares and work to evacuate all citizens on the thoroughfares." (Shahar Chai)
