Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino said: "We've elevated our preparation level. We are asking anyone who plans on coming to Jerusalem, to not leave at this stage, until we've announced that the thoroughfares are clear."
It was previously reported that transportation police officers evacuated 2,300 drivers and passengers stranded on the way to Jerusalem. (Shahar Chai)
