Director-general of the Home Front Defense Ministry, Major General (res.) Dan Ronen told Ynet that senior members of his ministry gathered for a discussion regarding storm preparations as early as Wednesday: "The national emergency center at the Kirya began operating between Thursday and Friday."
He added, "Minister Gilad Erdan authorized authorities to order – on the government's dime – engineering tools, essentially enabling an open-check policy for any assistance required." (Yoav Zitun)
